Is There a Recovery Period?

Though milder, chin liposuction still does require some downtime and involves a recovery period. Key things to know about recovering after chin liposuction include:

Expect to take about 1 week of downtime away from work and your normal routine.
Swelling, bruising, and discomfort are all normal. They are most notable in the first couple of days after surgery, and then they gradually improve.
Over-the-counter pain relievers are typically enough to manage pain and discomfort.

When Can I See the Results?

After chin liposuction, that fat is gone right away. However, it might not seem like it due to the swelling. Give your body rest and follow your aftercare instructions, and then you will see the swelling lessen. Typically, enough swelling fades after a week for patients to start seeing their results. From there, your results should only improve. As minor residual swelling fades over the coming weeks, your tissues will settle into place and reveal your full results.

How Long Do the Results Last?
